But that’s like trying to walk through a dark forest without turning on your flashlight until we get to the other side.

Instead we should let God’s word lead us first. Turn the light on. 

Before we chase after something, before we react, before we make a big decision, seek God’s wisdom. 

2. Live According To God’s Word 

It’s not enough to know God’s Word; we have to apply it. Psalm 119:105 doesn’t say that God’s Word is a spotlight that shows you the entire road ahead. It’s a lamp—it gives just enough light for the next step.
